Many is the time Tigerpalast performers have astounded audiences in locations other than the Tigerpalast theatre. Countless corporate events, galas and festive opening ceremonies in every commercial sector, not to mention occasional public performances.
Way back in 1989, on September 1st and 2nd, the Tigerpalast’s event professionals held thousands of people spellbound during the Museumsuferfest in Frankfurt am Main. No-one could have foreseen that the new variety acts from the just opened Tigerpalast Varieté, until then only known to those who had attended during the opening season, would enthral a mass audience at its first open-air variety performance.
1995, several years and many “touring” productions later: tens of thousands of spectators at the “50 Years of the Frankfurter Rundschau” show in downtown Frankfurt, not to mention its own 10th anniversary in 1998 - in New York: “Frankfurt meets New York” – a variety revue given by the Tigerpalast in the New York Library at the invitation of mayor of Frankfurt Petra Roth.
2000, one of the famous Maecenas Nights in the grounds of Frankfurt’s Städel museum: Ernst Ludwig Kirchner’s magnum opus “Das Varieté”, a world-famous painting, provided the inspiration for a long night of variety performed in front of a delighted audience of Frankfurt citizens.
2002, guest appearance at the Sports Ball held in Frankfurt’s Festival Hall. The world-famous variety star Oleg Izossimov delighted the sporting and social elite.
Inauguration of the Frankfurt Commerzbank Arena with a tightrope walk given by Swiss artiste David Dimitri, accompanied live by the Opera orchestra conducted by Paolo Carignani. At the opening of the 2005 FIFA Confederations Cup, 120 countries, in addition to the 50,000 fans in the stadium, witnessed the performance by live television link.
During the same year Tigerpalast performers captivated guests at the Hessentag in Weilburg and in 2006 at Weilburg town’s 1,100th anniversary celebrations.
In May 2008 the Tigerpalast faced a huge challenge: to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the IHK Frankfurt, its event team was asked to stage a performance and catering event for the 3,000 guests invited to attend the celebrations on Börsenplatz. But what’s a year of preparation for such an event, when you end up with 4 hours of a swing orchestra from Prague, the world-famous variety stars from the Tigerpalast, and the 3 Ladies of Blues blasting the Tigerpalast philosophy through the streets of Frankfurt:
